The European Parliament’s environment committee (ENVI) has voted to support new targets that aim to tackle food waste in the EU. The targets include halving the amount of food waste, raising the percentage of waste recycled to 70% and limiting landfill waste to just 5% – all by 2030.
Around 100 visitors were treated to a guided tour of the Menchine Farm AD plant on Saturday the 5th of November. The plant owned by Nomansland Biogas Ltd, and operated by Greener for Life Energy Ltd, is the first of eleven developed and built by Greener for Life and has been in full operation since January 2015.
